Led by Liu Peizhi, Associate Director of Expert Committee of Food Safety Committee of the State Council, a national

survey and research group combining 6 person came to Hengqin New District to survey and research food safety st-

andard. Leaders of provincial and municipal food and drug administration,  Director, Niu Jing and Deputy Director

Hong Chuangxiong of Administration Committee of Hengqin New District, Department Chief of Social Undertakin-

gs Bureau Chen Yilan , Deputy Department Chief of Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau Zhao Zhenwu partici-

pated fully in the survey and research. Survey and Research Group investigate the demonstration hall of Hengqin

New District Planning and Construction, sefl-catering institution of Changlong Hengqin Bay Hotel, they also had

a formal discussion with leaders of administration committee. 

Deputy director Niujing introduced the status of construction and planning development of Hengqin Pilot Free

Trade Zone, and focused his introduction on the status of the construction of Hengqin Food Safety Committee, an-

d the work about food safety standard done by the District Food Safety Administration. 
The survey and research group spoke highly of the achievement gained for the construction of Hengqin Pilot Free

Trade Zone, and appreciated the progress made by the District Food Safety Admonition on food safety since the

reform of Food and Drug Administration system, saying that they had done a great job in implementing “two co-

nstruction” , serving the Pilot Free Trade Zone and food safety for peoples’ daily diet .
The survey and Research Group expected that Food Safety Administration should take advantage of their neighbor

—Hong Kong and Macau, to explore bravely, try firstly and take painful effort in promoting cooperation with Hong

Kong and Macau on food and drug industry, integrate development , spare no effort to explore and research to bu-

ild an approval and supervision mechanism which could meet the requirement of the development of Pilot Free

Trade Zone.
